On 1st June Primary 3/4 went on a visit to Armagh Planetarium to learn about the planets in our Solar System and life in space.
The children had to listen carefully to the guide as she gave instructions. Then they had to try to make their own rockets out of a plastic bottle and other bits and pieces.
They had to half fill their rockets with water, then they were ready to launch. The person whose rocket blasted furthest won a prize.
The guide gave P3/4 a lesson on life in space as well as allowing everyone to hold a meteorite. It was very heavy!
P3 & P4 pupils really enjoyed this educational trip.
