? Department of Education Inspection Report

Posted on: May 10th, 2017 by Mr J White in Information for Parents

10th May 2017:  Dear Parents, Our school was inspected by the Department of Education on Monday, March 13, 2017.

The school participated fully with the inspector in all areas of Child Protection and Management of the school.

However, due to industrial action all staff have not engaged with the inspectorate as per INTO instructions. Therefore the inspection was not completed but the inspector will return when the industrial action ends.

The feedback from the inspector to the Chairman of the Board of Governors is very positive and reflects the child centred ethos of St Michael’s.

The School Development Plan is effective, identifies areas for development, and action plans are in place to ensure we are continually striving to raise standards for all pupils.

The inspector noted that enrolment is currently 49 pupils but we have demonstrated that we will have 60 pupils on roll for September 2017.

A copy of the report is available on the Department of Education site at   www.etini.gov.uk

On behalf of the Board of Governors and all staff we thank you for your vital contribution to the life of St Michael’s PS.
J White
