2016/17, September – An Evening of Appreciation for Fr Kerr

We are delighted to have been part of the very special evening that Clady GFC organised in appreciation of Fr Kerr on Friday night 23rd September. The whole Clady community together celebrated the 21 years he has served the Cill Chulana parish and wished him well in his new ministerial post in Armagh.

Our pupils from P1 right through to P7 worked hard in preparation for the evening & we are extremely proud of their performances on the night. They re-told stories about their memories of Fr Kerr, recited poems they penned especially for him, played guitar, performed Irish Dancing and sang ‘The Road to Clady’ and ‘The Boys from County Armagh’.

Our P3 & P4 pupils presented Fr Kerr with a very special scrapbook which they created over the past few weeks. It included their special memories of him, pictures they drew, photographs and much more. Some snippets of their great work can be seen in the attached photo gallery.

It was an emotional and memorable evening in honour of a very special and humble gentleman, Fr Peter Kerr PP. We thank him wholeheartedly for his service to our community and especially to St Michael’s PS and our pupils. He will be greatly missed and will always be welcome back at St Michael’s PS.
