P3/4 are currently exploring the concept of length.
P3 used cubes as non- standard units to measure some objects before they were introduced to using a ruler accurately.
P3/4 were then tasked with measuring the length of the school corridor and the length of our classroom and the width of the classroom using metre sticks.
We followed this up with measuring our height and length of our foot, finger, handspan and our head.
We then took our Numeracy lesson outside and measured the length and breadth of the yard and the length and breadth of the mobile and the Pirate ship.
We worked together in small groups to problem solve how to complete the tasks. Well done everyone!
